The food was delicious and definitely worth the stop. The food came out quickly and I sat outside at a shaded picnic table.

Seafood Platter was plentiful. Worth the price. However, I felt like all of the fried things were a bit greasy.

They make the best fried seafood!! I don't know what they do but I've never had a bad meal. They are quick and friendly. I'm glad I don't live closer or I would be there all the time

I've never had a bad meal from Gene's! Brought my dad here for the first time while I was visiting and he loved it. Only took us five minutes to get our food. When we first got there, we were the only ones and by the time we left people were waiting. It's a typical casual restaurant with average noise, but you don't go there for the atmosphere.

This has been a go-to seafood spot for my family for years. I've never had a bad meal or experience here. Even under the new ownership- the seafood is clearly fresh. To the left of the front entrance is where you order, you can also see the chefs preparing/frying all the food behind the counter! Their menu is pretty extensive. But I always go for the large fish and chips (so I can take some home to enjoy later), but a small would also leave you with leftovers as well. The portions here are huge for the price point! The seating area is nautical/fisherman themed, and there's plenty to look around at... I love that they always have Heinz malt vinegar at the tables to smother your fries in.

We have been coming here for years and it's nice to know the batter hasn't changed. It's sweet tasting over the most fresh seafood you will ever have! We tell everyone to come here and the portions are great for what you pay for. The inside has plenty of seats and they also have tables outside if the weather is nice enough and the workers are always nice.

I wanted to boost this place's rating because it deserves way more stars. It's been around forever and most of the people I saw eating there were older so they probably don't use yelp. We had the clam chowder and cakes and they were absolute perfection. So glad we gave this place a chance!!
